Gigging at the Kopper Top - Regular!

We're playing a regular gig at the Kopper Top Guesthouse and having a blast. Dancers are coming out of the woodwork, and what a sight! Check us out on the second Wednesday of each month at the Kopper Top. We've played threee times so far and are booked through December.

7:00-9:30 PM, Wednesday, October 11, November 8, and December 13 - Kopper Top Guesthouse. Tickets are $7 at the door, with cash bar service. The Kopper Top is at 638 Stocking Ave. NW in Grand Rapids, phone 616-459-2001.

Did anyone actually see the former mayor at the last gig? Or was the whole thing a ruse to gamble and listen to us swing the house?

Funk-illicious

Our former guitar player and I went to a local pub to catch Liquid Soul at Billy's last Thursday. It was at times, amazing, and at other times it was experimental. One thing was consistent: the inability of drunken white people to dance. OK...there were some good dancers. In fact there were some excellent dancers. But there were also some people who were a hazard to anyone within an arm (or leg) length away. Kind of reminded me of high-speed tai chi in a mosh pit. I nearly lost an eye when, without warning, a very enthusiastic dancer started whirling her arms like helicopter blades. Well, the night was a welcome diversion from the election. Let's not get started with the election. Support your local rhythm section and buy them a beer!

Did you know that "trombone" is French for "paper clip"? The question is, which is named after which?
